The helmet itself is very good and easy to adjust and comfortable to wear. It has a sizable air vent system that can be opened and closed on top. It has a good amount of thickness and offers full head protection. It is a very good value in terms of protection especially for the price. The ear pads are quite large and warm. My biggest complaint is the audio compatibility. It is a must for me since I like to wear helmet headphones on the slopes. There is a slot for the headphones but it is almost impossible to access. When the ear pads are installed, the velcro pocket you have to open is super tight and mostly blocked by the frame of the helmet. I really have to pull the velcro back and push the headphones through and when taking them out I am afraid I will rip apart the earpads since it is so tight. If this could be improved it would be a perfect helmet.

Initially ordered for my snowboarding son, size med head according to sizing chart. It fit, but with all his curly hair and wearing a ski mask or lightweight cap, he said it was a bit snug. He wants it snug, but needs a little wiggle room. At the time, I wasn't offered a large (had to order from a different company). He is 15, small head (IMO).I gave to my bonus child who is a beginner snowboarder, age 16 with less hair, same size of head. She loves it and fits her well. She will be using it at least once a week out on the slopes nearby. Because the helmet offers the MIPS protection, she will be protected! Overall, I find this to be a fantastic helmet and will look forward to keeping her head protected while learning snowboarding!Note: despite receiving item for review, I still have to pay for state and federal taxes, so the item isn't free. Der OutdoorMaster Ski- und Snowboardhelm verfügt über ein spezielles Ventilationssystem, ist aus Polycarbonat (außen) und EPS (innen) gefertigt und hat eine individuelle Passform für einen möglichst präzisen Sitz. Der Helm ist sauber verarbeitet und hinterlässt bereits beim Auspacken einen wertigen Eindruck. Die verwendeten Materialen fühlen sich hochwertig an und das Tragegefühl ist laut unserem Kind sehr angenehm. Über das Drehrad am Hinterkopf lässt sich der Helm sehr genau an den jeweiligen Kopfumfang anpassen. Der Kinngurt sorgt für die nötige weitere Absicherung am Kopf und ist weich gepolstert. Die eingearbeiteten Belüftungsschlitze können nach Bedarf über einen kleinen Schiebregler geöffnet oder verschlossen werden. Das warme Innenfutter kann man herausnehmen und ggf. per Hand waschen. Leider wurde die falsche Größe geliefert (S anstatt M) und so freut sich nun unser Kind über einen neuen Helm und wir dürfen noch einmal neu bestellen.

Ein sehr wichtiger Punkt bei Helmen ist das Thema Sicherheit.Hier kann der Skihelm eindeutig Punkten. Er verfügt über das sogenannte MIPS-Evolve-Gehirnschutzsystem und ist außerdem nach der europaweit gültigen Sicherheitsnorm CE: EN 1077 hergestellt.Der Tragekomfort ist des Helmes ist sehr angenehm. Er verfügt über ein gepolstertes verstellbares Kinnband & ein stufenlos anpassbares Band am Hinterkopf. So kann man den Helm an jede Kopfform anpassen.Zur Belüftung besitzt der Helm 8 verstellbare Lüftungsöffnungen an der Vorder- und Oberseite.Die Grüße M passt mir persönlich sehr gut obwohl ich in meinem Motorradhelm eher Größe S Trage.

A safe helmet and a warm helmet! It has a sliding to switch to allow for zero vents or air ventilation, which is a must for winter helmets. Made sturdy and doesn't have any silly unnecessary flaws. No drafts when the vents are closed. Plenty of room for an extra layer underneath the helmet and it fits a big head!
